Once again I approached a topic about which I know very little. I had a better than average background in "conventional" medicine (I had worked as an Emergency Medical Technician years ago), and a life-long interest in "Eastern" subjects (begun by reading the Lobsang Rampa books in my teens and early twenties), but absolutely no knowledge of Oriental medicine. As I began reading this book I found concepts I was familiar with (meditation, herbalism, Yin and Yang), but in more depth and from an angle I was not familiar with. Most "New Agers" and/or Wiccans will find the techniques recommended in this book easy to understand and work with, I suspect. There will be those who will see this as a fad. There will be those who will see this as a one-shot, cure-all. What this is, however, is a call to examine, and modify, one’s lifestyle.
